  • Has a large bakery section which can be a good option for breakfast

Tesco

  • Biggest chain in the UK

  • Tesco Everyday Value for the cheap prices

  • Provides economical Meal Deals at £3.4 (Clubcard members) or £3.9 (non-Clubcard members) with a main, a snack and a drink (applying for a Clubcard is free)

  • Tesco Express is the smaller convenience store. It’s open until late so a perfect choice for snacks if you’re going to pull an all-nighter

Sainsbury’s

  • Second biggest chain in the UK

  • Sainsbury’s Basics provides diverse choices of groceries with low prices

  • Sainsbury’s Local is the chain of convenience stores

Waitrose

  • An upmarket chain

  • High quality food and ready-made meals but is generally more expensive

  • Little Waitrose is the smaller convenience store

Marks & Spencer

  • Pricey but high-quality option for weekly groceries
