Social
Service

2021-2022

We provide numerous opportunities for our members to help those in need. Understanding how privileged we are as university students in a stimulating learning environment, we not only cherish the opportunities given but would also like to give back to our society. There is no better way to gain a thorough insight into our society than working hand-in-hand with various stakeholders to tackle different social problems. Therefore, we organise different service programmes throughout the year for our members to enrich their experience outside classrooms.

Amazing Raise 2022

Our flagship event, 'Amazing Raise', was successfully held on the 11th of February, where we raised a total of £1160 for the charity Crisis UK. Our theme this year was 'Homelessness under Covid-19', and participants were able to experience and learn about this through various games and a city hunt planned throughout the day.

Reading Week Volunteering

Every year, Hands On London brings together hundreds of Londoners to collect, sort, and distribute coats to charities and projects supporting homeless individuals. During our reading week, we helped with the collections of coats at Victoria and Waterloo station, hoping that warm clothes will be distributed to those who need them the most.
